'State and Prospects of Promoting 'Green' Economy for Sustainable Development' session to be held within VII AEF

ASTANA. July 30. KAZINFORM In the framework of VII Astana Economic Forum on 21-23 May 2014 there will be conducted a panel session titled "The state of and prospects for promotion of 'green economy' for sustainable development." The purpose of the event will be discussion of successful experiences of countries and organizations in transition to "green" economy, as well as on practical measures to promote 'green' economy.
Participants of the event will discuss the key issues to improve resource efficiency (water, land, biological, etc.) and management.
Also, focus will be on the modernization and construction of new infrastructure, improving the well-being of the population and the quality of the environment in the transition to a 'green' economy.
For participation in the event are invited local and international experts, representatives of government agencies, research organizations, environmental NGOs and the media.
The organizer will be the Kazakh Ministry of Environmental Protection.
