St. Petersburg airport evacuated over bomb threat

MOSCOW. April 19. KAZINFORM Some 1,500 people were evacuated from the Pulkovo international airport in Russia's second largest city of St. Petersburg over a threat of a possible explosion, a police source said on Friday.
The Interior Ministry reported earlier that it began evacuation of the Pulkovo airport early on Friday morning after an anonymous call that warned of explosives at the airport.
"Some 1,500 people were evacuated from the Pulkovo-1 and Pulkovo-2 terminals after the anonymous call," the source said adding that all facilities at the airport were being inspected by police bomb squads with trained dogs.
All departing and arriving flights were suspended at the airport, the Interior Ministry said.
