Sport - best 'ambassador' of peace - D. Petrukhin

According to him the Asian Games are the most significant event in his life right now. 'It is not a secret that there was lots of doubters who did not believe in expediency and possibility of my project. Though, I was confident since the beginning in 2007 when I started it. I am just happy that it turned out to be a success. All these years I had special feelings towards the Asian Games', the biker confessed.

D. Petrukhin recalls that he had to have a lot of meetings in 45 countries over these years. Above all things I remember the meeting in Hong Kong in December of 2010 with 35 Consuls General of Asia. I told them about our country's success, about presidency in the OSCE and about the Summit of this Organization in Astana. I am sure that last year was one of the most significant ones in history of our 'young' country', he said.

According to him, the world measures and judges Kazakhstan by initiatives and opinions of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. 'Kazakhstan is on the right way'. The policy of our President is fully supported by our society. I support the initiative on holding a national referendum for extending powers of the President to 2020. Elections are not so important today. There is no alternative to our President right now, therefore the referendum is the best decision', D. Petrukhin believes.

The biker is confident that his ride has proved that sport is the best ambassador of peace.

'We need to show our strength in sports arena', he emphasized.
