Special tactical peacekeeping drills Steppe Eagle 2010 start at Ili site near Almaty

ALMATY. August 16. KAZINFORM Special tactical peacekeeping drills Steppe Eagle 2010 start today at Ili training polygon in Almaty region. The militaries of three countries take part in it; Kazakhstan, USA and Great Britain.
The representatives of the Armed Forces of these states took part in the opening ceremony, the press-office of the Ministry of Defense informs.
The goal of the drills is to address issues of common security, coordinate and correct interaction while peacekeeping activities and other tactical tasks.
The drills are to last for ten days. On August 25-26 the forces of three countries will demonstrate the skills gained within the drills.
