Special commission investigates Su-27 fighter crash - Defense Ministry

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - A commission set up to investigate the causes of the SU-27 military plane crash in Almaty region, this was reported in Kazakhstan's Ministry of Defense.
"September 23, 2014 at around 8.42 p.m. Su-27 (50) military aircraft disappeared from radars of Taldykorgan airbase carrying out training flights. There were two pilots onboard - Lieutenant Colonel Y. Nauanov and Lt. Col. D. Gorbunov. During search operations the crashed plane was discovered in Koksusky area, 15 km from the village Zhanalyk. According to preliminary data, the two pilots of the aircraft have not been found yet. A special commission set up to investigate the causes of the crash", reported in the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.
