Speaker of Luxembourg Parliament spoke for activating coop with Kazakhstan

The Speaker was informed of the results of socio-economic development of Kazakhstan in 2009, the measures taken by the country's Government on overcoming the global economic crisis and post-crisis development of the country.

The parties expressed mutual interest in strengthening the Kazakh-Luxembourgian political and economic cooperation.

In the context of discussion of the interaction between Kazakhstan and the European Union the importance of the Framework Agreement between Kazakhstan and European Investment Bank signed within the visit of President N.Nazarbayev to Brussels was stressed.

Y.Utembayev expressed gratitude for assistance to Kazakhstan in the OSCE laying special emphasis on the support of the initiative of holding the OSCE Summit in 2010 and priorities of Kazakhstan's chairmanship by the Luxembourgian Government.

Being the Chairman of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group "Luxembourg-Kazakhstan" and Head of the Luxembourgian delegation in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly L.Mosar spoke for activation of cooperation between the legislative bodies of two states and suggested negotiating possibility of exchange of visits of the Parliamentarians.
