Soyuz MS-25 crew arrive at Baikonur cosmodrome

The prime and backup crews of the Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft arrived at the Baikonur Cosmodrome from Zvyozdny gorodok, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

The prime crew of the 21st visiting mission to the ISS include Russian astronaut Oleg Novitskiy, Belarusian Marina Vasilevskaya and NASA astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson. The backup crew is made up of Russian Ivan Vagner, Belarusian Anastasia Lenkova and American Donald Pettit.

Within two weeks, the crew members the visiting mission 21 are to undergo preflight training and medical checks at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Baikonur city.

Today, the crew members are to leave for the Baikonur cosmodrome for examinations and uniform fitting on the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft.

Meantime, the Yuzhniy space center specialists carry on with preparations of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle in Baikonur, said the press service of Roscosmos.

The Soyuz MS-25 manned spacecraft is set to blast off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on March 21, 2024.
