Sony announces PROselfie smartphone

The smartphone's unique selling proposition is its front-camera, it boasts of 5.0-megapixel wide-angle (25 mm with 80-degree field of view) camera with soft LED flash and enable users to get a perfect selfie at any lighting conditions. To further enrich the photography experience, Xperia C3 also comes with the Superior Auto mode, which automatically adjusts the camera to the surrounding environment's lighting conditions, whereas the Auto-scene recognition app uses HDR and LED flash to capture good quality selfie in broad day-light or in a dark/closed enclosure. Other value added apps include Portrait retouch v2.0, Timeshift-bursts, Picture effects, Movie Creator, Social Live (users can broadcast live video via Facebook and other social networks) and Sweep Panorama. Xperia C3 sports a 5.5-inch HD TRILUMINOS display (with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology) and ships with Android v4.4 KitKat OS, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, Adreno 305, 8.0-megapixel camera on the rear-side and 2,500 mAh battery which can run the phone for up to 24 hours of talk time and close to 1,071 hours under standby mode.
The company has confirmed that the new Xperia C3 will hit stores globally next month (August) starting with China and later in other regions. However, the details regarding the device's price are still under wraps.
