Sofia Samodelkina pockets silver at Denis Ten Memorial Challenge tournament
The member of the national team of Kazakhstan Sofia Samodelkina scored 125.83 points in the ladies’ free skating program at the Denis Ten Memorial Challenge in Astana. With a combined score of 189.67 including the short program Sofia won a silver medal at the tournament which is hold to commemorate Denis Ten, a celebrated Kazakh figure skater, Kazinform News Agency cites the Kazakh Tourism and Sports Ministry.
Georgia’s Anastasia Gubanova grabbed gold with 195.91 points, while Lara Naki Gutmann rounded out the top 3 with 188.86 points
Kazakhstan’s Veronika Kim also grabbed silver in the Junior Women’s finals.
As written before, the 2024 Denis Ten Memorial Challenge is scheduled to take place at the Barys Arena sports complex in the Kazakh capital of Astana between October 3–6, 2024.
