Snowstorms and fog to grip Kazakhstan

A storm alert was issued for Kazakhstan for January 5, Kazinform News Agency reports citing Kazhydromet.
Fog and ice-slick are expected today in Astana.
Abai region is set to brace for fog.
Ground blizzard and ice-slick, fog and high wind gusting 15-20 m/s are forecast for Akmola, Atyrau, and Kostanay regions.
Fog is predicted to banket Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Zhetysu, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Mangistau, Pavlodar, Ulytau, and Turkistan regions today.
North Kazakhstan is set to brace for fog and ice-slick.
As earlier reported, on January 3, Kostanay region saw above-zero temperatures during the daytime, leading to snow and ice melting.
