ASTANA. December 27. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Slavic population of Kazakhstan fully supports President N.Nazarbayev. Chairman of Astana's affiliation of the national Slavic movement "Lad" Alexander Zaripov has said it at a roundtable entitled "Nursultan Nazarbayev - creator of the national solidarity and confident future of Kazakhstan" held in the Palace of Peace and Concord.
"At the beginning of this year we offered a proposal that it is necessary either to re-elect the President for another term, or to extend his power. We do not see any surprise in this initiative - both the Slavs and Cossacks are on the side of N.Nazarbayev", A.Zaripov said.
He noted that stability in Kazakhstan established by N.Nazarbayev's policy in the sphere of interethnic relations ensures full support of the country's Slavic population.
