Skiing season started in Astana

All participants of the competitions received skis, and both amateur sportsmen and professionals in skiing could take part in the starts. So, among the youngest participants of 2000 year of birth and younger Petr Siverin became the winner among boys, and Arina Shulyak won the 1-km race among girls. Vladimir Chervonny was the first to finish the 5-km race in the category of 1998-1999 years of birth; Darya Lyudvig became the first in 3-km race in the same age category. At the same time Rustam Koperbayev was the winner among participants of 1996-1997 years of birth, he was a little ahead of Rustam Amanzholov who is on the second place. Aiganym Zhumagulova became the winner in 3-km distance among girls.
Erasyl Tasbulatov was the fastest among lads of 1994-1995 years of birth, he was the first to reach the finish. The second and third places were won by Artem Aslamov and Ruslan Kozhayev. According to the tradition, veterans were also engaged, they never miss mass skiing races in the capital. Leonid Antonov and Svetlana Imangazhina were the fastest showing very good results.
It's worth noting that more than 5000 residents of the capital took part in the last skiing mass starts. Every year more and more Astana residents choose active and healthy leisure, and the city tries to create all necessary conditions.
