Ski resort 'Shymbulak' ready for Asian Games

ALMATY. January 24. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ Ski resort 'Shymbulak' is ready for the Asian Games. Today is a really significant day for all sports lovers and especially for ski sports fans. Almaty city Mayor Akhmetzhan Yesimov said it on the threshold of an official opening of the resort.
The Mayor noted that the head of the resort did a great job. 'The infrastructure of the resort meets all international standards. Thus, the ski slopes will now be lit by new light equipment. Besides, the 'Chimbulak Development', constructed a gondola road from 'Medeu' complex to 'Shymbulak' resort. The length of it is 4572 meters.
A. Yesimov signed the flag of the Olympic Council of Asia handed over to him by biker Dmitry Petrukhin. 45 heads of Olympic Committees of Asian countries have already signed this flag. 'Many countries are located in equatorial zone and cannot take part in the Games but they confirmed their participation', Kazakh biker D. Petrukhin said.
