Six nationals of Uzbekistan die in road accident in Mangistau region
The tragedy occurred October 16, at 07:30 am on the Beineu-Tazhen highway, Kazinform News Agency reports.
According to the reigonal police, 10 people were in a JAC car, when it smashed into a truck parked on the roadside. The truck was waiting to cross the border.
“Four people were taken to the Beineu Central District Hospital. Their condition is estimated as moderately severe. The patients are undergoing all necessary treatment. Six more people died in the accident,” the press service of the regional police says.
As police said, the vehicles involved in the road accident were registered in Uzbekistan. The victims and those injured are the nationals of Uzbekistan, who were travelling from the Russian Federation.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Aktau confirms.
