MINSK. June 17. KAZINFORM Belarus will settle the current problems in a couple of months, Belarusian leader said in a press conference for central and regional mass media on 17 June; Kazinform has learnt from BelTA.
"In several months we will resolve the problems without even utilizing the loans Belarus has been granted. Believe me, we will," said the Belarusian president.
According to him, insofar as repayment of foreign debts is concerned, Belarus is providing economic entities with foreign currency on the exchange market for this purpose. "First of all we use currency to pay for natural gas, medicines and repay debts. The most terrible thing is not to pay back the money you owe. This is one of the ways. Another possible way is that we can sell some assets to repay the loans," Alexander Lukashenko noted; Kazinform cites BelTA.
