Single Customs Code likely to be adopted by year-end ? Russian Vice PM

ASTANA. May 22. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ All tariffs of the Customs Union will be adjusted on June 9. First Vice Premier of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov has made it public at a briefing within the frame of the Council of the CIS Prime Ministers in the Astana Palace of Independence today.
According to him, this issue was discussed at the meeting of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
I. Shuvalov noted that to date about 12% of tariffs still have not been adjusted. He and Kazakh Vice Premier U. Shukeyev were urged to solve this issue till June 9 meeting of three prime ministers in Moscow.
He noted that the Single Customs Code can be adopted by the end of the year and come into force on January 1, 2010.
