Simon Smits: EXPO 2017 theme of utmost interest to the Netherlands

Within the framework of his working trip to The Hague Rapil Zhoshybayev met with the Netherlands Vice Minister for Foreign Trade Simon Smits. At the meeting, the sides discussed commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries, possible participation of Dutch companies in the International specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana and implementation of some projects within the Nurly zhol - Path to the Future program. "We've made a presentation of the program and talked about it in detail during the meeting. I believe that companies from the Netherlands will participate [in it]," Mr. Zhoshybayev said. He also informed his Dutch counterpart of the preparations for EXPO 2017 event and handed the invitation from President Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed to Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. Simon Smits, in turn, stressed the theme of the upcoming EXPO event in Kazakhstan "Future Energy" is of particular interest to the Netherlands and expressed readiness to support Dutch companies to showcase their projects at the exhibition in Astana.
