Silvio Berlusconi's upcoming visit to Astana to give additional impulse to Kazakhstan-Italy relations - Franco Frattini

ASTANA. April 28. KAZINFORM OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Kazakh Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev has held a telephone conversation with head of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Franco Frattini on April 27.

The ministers discussed the issues of interaction within the OSCE. F.Frattini highly appraised Kazakhstan's activity within the chairmanship in the OSCE, especially leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev in regulation of the crisis in the Kyrgyz Republic; the Kazakh Foreign Ministry informs.

The sides considered the issues of preparation for an informal OSCE Ministerial Council which is scheduled for July 16-17 in Almaty and discussed topics which have been submitted for consideration at the OSCE Summit in 2010.

The Italian minister confirmed his participation in the informal OSCE Ministerial Council and announced intention of Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi to attend the OSCE Summit.

Issues on implementation of the agreements reached in the course of President N.Nazarbayev's official visit to Rome in November, 2009 were discussed too. The parties expressed confidence that the upcoming visit of S.Berlusconi will give additional impulse to the relations between Kazakhstan and Italy.
