СICA Secretariat moves to Astana - MFA

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia (CICA) is set to move from Almaty to Astana city by September 2014, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Ashikbayev told a press conference on Monday.
"Currently based in Almaty, the CICA Secretariat will be moved to Kazakhstan's capital in the nearest future. The move is expected to be completed by the end of this summer. The Secretariat will be officially presented here in Astana in early September," Vice Minister Ashikbayev said. Mr. Ashikbayev also added that new head of the CICA Secretariat - a Chinese diplomat will join the organization in Astana.
