Shymkent welcomes the first triplets of 2025
Zhamilya Akhibek, 22yo, welcomed the first triplets of the year 2025 in the city of Shymkent, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

First-time mother Zhamilya gave birth via cesarean section to two boys and one girl: Abilkaiyr, Altair and Ailana, weighed in at 2,770, 2,095 and 2,410 grams, respectively.
The babies born preterm were offered a treatment by specialists of the emergency department. Currently, their condition is regarded as stable, said the healthcare department of Shymkent city.

Zhamilya says she was surprised to hear she was pregnant with three babies. ‘I felt something special, she said.
The mother of triplets was checked out today from the hospital.
In 2024, Shymkent welcomed 28,936 babies, including 319 sets of twins and three sets of triplets.
As earlier reported, 14,013 newborns were registered in West Kazakhstan region last year, marking a significant increase of 2,096 compared to 11,917 births recorded in 2023.
