Shukeyev supports establishment of industrial zone in Shymkent

SHYMKENT. February 10. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylayeva/ First Vice Premier Umirzak Shukeyev said establishment of an industrial zone on the territory of phosphorous plant in Shymkent was a good idea and promised to consider this issue thoroughly.
As is known, the Government's operational group headed by Shukeyev is visiting South Kazakhstan oblast today. The group was created for inspecting the course of realization of the country's forced industrialization program and fulfillment of the President's tasks outlined in his annual message to the nation.
According to Deputy Akim of Shymkent Yergali Bilisbekov, the administration of Shymkent intends to reconstruct infrastructure of the former phosphorous plant and provide potential investors with a territory with gas-, energy and water supply systems.
The former giant of soviet industry covers the area of around 300 ha.
