Seven large projects to be realized in S Kazakhstan under 2010-2014 forced industrialization program

SHYMKENT. February 6. KAZINFORM /Tatyan Pylayeva/ South Kazakhstan oblasts plans to realize seven large projects under the State Program on Forced Industrial-Innovative Development for 2010-2014. Askar Myrzakhmetov, Governor of the oblast, said at the meeting of the region's core group.

These are the projects: Construction of a mineral fertilizer plant; Construction of a domestic wastes processing plant in Shymkent; Increasing capacity of the Shymkent Chemical-Pharmaceutical Works, Construction of a Trade-Logistics Center near the Shymkent Airport, Construction of an ore mining and processing enterprise at Alaigyr complex deposit, Increasing capacity of electric power production at Shardara Hydro-Electric Power Plant and Construction of a plant on manufacturing 220-250 kW electric transformers.

"As it was mentioned in the Address, we must finish reconstruction of the Shymkent Oil Refinery. We must thoroughly work on these investment projects. For this certain measures will be taken on each project", A. Myrzakhmetov said.
