Session on results of “Zher-2009” exercises held in Almaty

Minister of Emergency Situations Vladimir Bozhko, Mayor of Almaty city, representatives of plenipotentiary bodies and ministries attended the session.

According to S. Akhmetov practical results of the held session should become the basis for corresponding decision of the Government aimed at improvement of the state system on liquidation of emergency situations.

He defined priorities for further work. The first one is the development of new methods for earthquake predictions and seismic system. The second one is the further work in strengthening of seismic constructions in naked regions of the country.

"We must act jointly as only coherent joint actions will lets us solve all objectives outlined as well as rise the level of the state security and its population", - S. Akhmetov.
