Session of EurAsEC Interstate Council kicks off in Saint Petersburg

ASTANA. May 21. KAZINFORM A session of the EurAsEC Interstate Council - Supreme body of the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan is being held in Saint Petersburg today. Kazakh Prime Minister-Deputy Chairman of the EurAsEC Interstate Council Karim Massimov heading the Kazakh delegation takes part in it.

The Russian delegation is headed by Chairman of the Government Vladimir Putin. The Belarusian one - by Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky.

The Kazakh delegation includes First Vice Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev, Chairman of the Board of SamrukKazyna national Welfare Fund Kairat Kelimbetov, ministers and others.

K.Massimov noted that "President Nursultan Nazarbayev told us that, as the final result, the Customs Union will benefit economies, honest entrepreneurs of all countries - Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan".

"I am sure that today's discussion will allow us to take decisions which are really executed. All of us - our enterprises, and out nation - in the nearest future will feel positive results of this work", K.Massimov emphasized.

The participants of the Interstate Council will discuss the topical issues of the contractual legal base formation of the Customs Union of Russian, Belarus and Kazakhstan, including draft international treaties.
