Serik Akhmetov visited Tulpar-Talgo plant

ASTANA. October 13. KAZINFORM Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov visited the plant "Tulpar-Talgo" where the chief of JSC "National Company "Kazakhstan Temir Joly" Askar Mamin informed him about the implementation of the development of high-speed passenger services in Kazakhstan.

The plant produces trains that can move at speeds up to 200 km per hour and ensure passenger comfort. This car-building company was launched by President Nursultan Nazarbayev in December 2011.

According to A. Mamin, 420 domestic passenger trains will operate in 2014.

"Talgo" trains have a centralized system of power supply, places for persons with disabilities, a high-performance air conditioning, toilets. Until the end of 2012 the train "Talgo" will connect Astana and Aktobe. The line will have more than 30 new domestic trains. Prior to 2015, high-speed railway traffic will cover all the major cities of Kazakhstan.
