Serbia ready to take part in development of Kazakhstan – B. Tadic

ASTANA. October 7. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Serbia is ready to take part in development of Kazakhstan as well as to accept investments from Kazakhstan. Serbian President Boris Tadic said it at the press conference after the negotiations with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Serbia can be Kazakhstan's economic partner in Europe, Serbian President said. According to him the sides discussed the issues of cooperation in the spheres of agriculture, power industry, engineering, pharmaceutics, construction of roads and railways, industries, culture, science and sports.

'Many Serbian companies have worked in Almaty. Now they are involved in construction of metro stations in Almaty', B. Tadic said.

'We are going to develop cooperation with Kazakhstan. I personally will promote it', Serbian President added.

According to the data of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, mutual trade turnover for 2009 made USD 18.3 mln. The export was USD 1.1 mln and import amounted to USD 17.2 mln.
