Senators adopted law on ratification of Agreement on circulation of commodities subject to mandatory conformity assessment on CU territory
According to Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau, ratification of the Agreement will allow creating conditions for provision of free circulation of commodities on the customs territory of the Customs Union and define the order of import of goods to this territory and movement of the goods subject to mandatory conformity assessment among the CU member countries.
The Agreement covers the products subject to mandatory conformity assessment imported to the single customs territory as well as the products transported from one country to another one.
As the Vice Minister noted the Agreement provides for mutual recognition of the results of mandatory conformity assessment of the products, i.e. the protocols of tests and certificates of conformity. Besides, the Agreement provides for establishment of a single form of certificates of conformity and a declaration of conformity.
