Senate talks employment, social aid and 'road map' activities

ASTANA. June 10. KAZINFORM Vice Speaker of the Kazakh Senate Mukhambet Kopeyev has taken part in the discussion of the issues of employment, specialists training and 'Road Map' activities; Kazinform refers to the Senate?s press service.
Opening the meeting, chairman of the related committee Akhan Bizhanov noted that the legislative support of the state policy in the sphere of employment and social protection of population is one of the priorities of the Parliament?s legislative activity.
The work on legal promotion of directions of the stabilization plan was conducted in order to implement the anti-crisis tasks set by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The Law ?On amendments to some legislative acts on employment and guaranteed social insurance? is aimed at overcoming the world financial crisis consequences within the framework of the employment strategy, the employment system and guaranteed social insurance improvement.
Moreover, the Labor Code, Laws ?On state procurements?, ?On employment of population?, ?On guaranteed social insurance? were amended.
Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova noted that timely legal strengthening of the state anti-recessionary program allowed to amend the laws on the national budget, legislation on employment, guaranteed social insurance and state procurements.
In the whole, KZT 191.1 bln is budgeted into the 'road map' activities. It is planned to create 254,000 jobs at repair work and about 96,000 temporary jobs. KZT 8.6 bln was allocated for professional and advanced training, social jobs, and internships.
At the meeting G.Abdykalikova answered the deputies? questions with regards to the control over effective use of the public budget funds allocated for the anti-recessionary measures to ensure employment in the country.
