Senate Speaker K. Tokayev with Chairman of Chinese NPC Standing Committee W. Bangguo in Geneva

ASTANA. July 21. KAZINFORM III International Conference of Parliament Speakers in Geneva comes to the end. As is known, Kazakhstan's delegation headed by Chairman of the Kazakh Senate Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev participated in it.

As the Senate's press service informs, yesterday K. Tokayev met with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China Wu Bangguo.

At the meeting the parties stated that Kazakh-Chinese relations were characterized with high level of political trust, close economic ties and mutual support in international affairs.

"Your country has become a locomotive of the global economy in overcoming the financial-economic crisis and your experience in useful for the world community", said K. Tokayev and invited Wu Bangguo to make an official visit to Kazakhstan.

The parties highly appraised the recent visit of Chinese Leader Hu Juntao to Kazakhstan and his talks with President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev which, undoubtedly, gave a strong impulse to further development of the Kazakh-Chinese strategic partnership.

Touching upon regional security and Kyrgyz problem the parties expressed satisfaction with the commonness of positions and spoke for rendering humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan for full restoration of stability, security and public order in this country.

Senator Orynbay Rakhmanberdiyev and Deputy of the Majilis Bagila Baimagambetova took part in the meetings.
