Senate Speaker K. Tokayev congratulated journalists on professional holiday

Addressing the mass media workers K. Tokayev noted importance of the holiday not only for the representatives of press but also for the readers and viewers audience. "Namely mass media provide openness and transparency of the life of society and determine public mood. The press is trusted and listened", the Speaker said.

Having emphasized the role of mass media in conducting the reforms in the country, K. Tokayev highly appraised their contribution to strengthening unity among the people of Kazakhstan for achievement of high goals, further growth of the country's weight on the global arena.

"To my mind the level of Kazakhstani journalism is quite high. As for parliamentary correspondents, accurate and full information about the role of legislative branch in the system of state bodies promotes growth of legal culture of the citizens and development of the institute of parliamentarism in whole", he stressed.
