Senate ratifies Treaty on Customs Code of Customs Union

ASTANA. June 10. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Senate of the Kazakhstan Parliament adopted a draft law "On ratification of the Treaty on Customs Code of the Customs Union" at its plenary sitting on Thursday.
"The purpose of development of the Customs Code of the Customs Union is to form the basis of the customs regulation in the Customs Union area", Kazakh Minister of Finance Bolat Zhamishev said introducing the draft law.
The Minister told about the main innovations of the document. In particular, the abolition of the customs clearance and customs control for the mutual trade between the member states of the Union, introduction of the notion "single customs space of the Customs Union", establishment of the institute of authorized economic operators on the use of special benefits, etc.
