Senate ratifies Protocol on uniform system of tariff preferences of Customs Union

ASTANA. November 12. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Senate of Kazakhstan's Parliament has passed the Law "On ratification of the Protocol on the uniform system of tariff preferences of the Customs Union" at the plenary session.
As Kazakh Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev noted, the Protocol signed on December 12, 2008 in Moscow is aimed at the formation of the legal base of the Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.
The Protocol provides tariff preferences for goods from developing or less developed countries imported to the customs territories of the Union member states or single customs territory. The uniform system of tariff preference is used in order to promote economic development of developing and less developed countries.
