Senate ratifies Protocol on Military facilities deployment in CSTO states

ASTANA. January 16. KAZINFORM - Senate of the Kazakh Parliament at the plenary session has adopted the Law "On ratification of the Protocol on military facilities deployment on the territory of CSTO member-states''.
Deputy Minister of Defense Okas Saparov noted that, in accordance with the Protocol, the CSTO member-states are able to make decision on military facilities (of CSTO non-members) deployment on their territories after approval of other member-states and in case of formal objections absence.
The Protocol also includes provisions setting out the procedure for entry into force, the procedure for making amendments and additions as well as rules governing the procedure for regulating the controversial issues associated with the application and interpretation of the Protocol. The Protocol was made in Moscow on December 20, 2011.
