Senate ratifies Kazakh-Spanish agr't on transit of military property and staff via Kazakhstan

ASTANA. April 5. KAZINFORM The Senate adopted the law "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and Government of Spain on the transit of military property and staff through Kazakhstan's territory in connection with Spain's participation in international efforts on stabilization and rehabilitation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan" at a plenary session on Thursday.
Presenting the draft law, Kazakh Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kairat Omarov noted that the aim of the Agreement, which was signed on July 2, 2009 in Astana, is to enhance Kazakhstan's role in assistance to international efforts on stabilization and rehabilitation of Afghanistan.
The Agreement defines the order of implementation of the transit of military property and staff through the territory of Kazakhstan.
