Senate ratifies Agreement on loan between Kazakhstan and EBDR

ASTANA. June 18. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Today the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament has adopted the Law ?On ratification of the Agreement on the loan ?The project of South-West road corridor ?International transit corridor ?West Europe – West China? between Kazakhstan and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development.
The Agreement was signed on March 30, 2009 in Astana. The main purpose of it is granting of a loan for financing of parts of the project on reconstruction and increase of the technical grade of the road border of Russia-Marduk-Aktobe 102 km long. The loan to the amount of USD 180 mln is granted for 19 years.
The accomplishment of the projects is scheduled for December 31, 2012.
