Senate ratifies Agreement on CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces

ASTANA. February 4. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Kazakh Senate has adopted the Law "On ratification of the Agreement on the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization" at the plenary session on February 4.
"The Agreement is aimed at the creation of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces on ensuring collective security by the CSTO member states on the coalition basis", Vice Minister of Defense Bolat Sembinov said.
According to him, main goals of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces are: prevention and defeat of military attacks, countering international terrorism, illegal trafficking in drugs, weapon and ammunition' emergencies liquidation and etc.
