Senate ratifies agr't on provision of information security between SCO states

ASTANA. May 6. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Senate of the Kazakh Parliament adopted the Law "On ratification of the Agreement on cooperation in the field of international information security between the Governments of the SCO member states".
"The main purpose of the Agreement is establishment of a joint threat reaction mechanism in the field of international information security, provision of information security of the SCO member states, development of international cooperation in prevention violations in the information space", First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee Nurzhan Zhigitekov said presenting the Law.
He noted that the Agreement was signed in Yekaterinburg on June 16, 2009. At the suggestion of the Kazakh side, in particular the Kazakh National Security Committee, range of amendments was introduced to the Law.
