Senate ratified Kazakhstan-UAE Agr't on mutual legal assistance in criminal cases

TANA. October 27. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Kazakh Senate has adopted the Law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates on mutual legal assistance in criminal cases" at a plenary session.
"The agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi on March 16, 2009. It is a standard bilateral agreement with foreign countries," Deputy Prosecutor General Nurmakhanbet Issayev said introducing the bill.
According to him, the agreement is aimed at establishment of legal framework of cooperation between competent authorities of Kazakhstan and UAE on the issues of exchange of information and rendering legal assistance in crimes investigation.
