Senate ratified Kazakh-US agreement on cargo and personnel air transportation via Kazakhstan

ASTANA. April 14. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Senate of the Kazakhstan's Parliament adopted a law on ratification of the Kazakh-US agreement on cargo and personnel air transportation via the territory of Kazakhstan in connection with the participation of the United States in efforts to ensure security, stability and recovery of Afghanistan.
"The document was signed after the Nazarbayev-Obama verbal agreement on November 12, 2010 in Washington," Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Kairat Umarov said at a plenary sitting.
Previously the air transportation via Kazakhstan was based on two memoranda of understanding, which will become invalid after this agreement comes into force.
