Senate passed amendments to Environmental Code

KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Kazakhstan Senate has reviewed the draft Law ?On amendments to the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulation of the import of environmentally unsound technologies, machinery and equipment? in the second reading at a plenary session; Kazinform reports.
The draft Law foresees introduction of an amendment to the Environmental Code on regulation of the import of expired environmentally unsound technologies, machinery and equipment, a ban on import of certain types of technologies, which have repeatedly recognized by experts as dangerous ones following the results of the state environmental review.
After the discussion the Law was adopted.
