Seminar on investment opportunities in Kazakhstan held in South Korea
Introducing the presentation on the investment climate and foreign economy policy of Korean Republic, Kazakh ambassador to Korea Dulat Bakishev acquainted the South Korean businessmen with the general indicators of current social and economic developments of Kazakhstan, priority economy sectors for investors as well as statements of major strategic documents, including the state programme of forced industrial and innovative development,Trend reports.
The Kazakh diplomat laid out there the investment climate in Kazakh Republic, including investment preferences in strategic fields of the economy and legislative guarantees for investors as well as cooperation opportunities within the state programme of the forced industrial and innovative development and the newly established Customs Service Union.
Korean businessmen showed increased interest within the event. A number of questions were asked regarding the involvement of direct foreign investments in different economy fields such as oil and gas, agricultural field and others.
Direct foreign investments of South Korea in Kazakhstan currently amount to over $4 billion while the investment portfolio on realized projects in Korean Republic exceeds $8 billion.
