Second round of talks between CU and EFTA started in Almaty
Delegations from Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus take part in the talks.
It was noted that an agreement on free trade would create favorable conditions for the movement of goods at a more affordable price and attract capital and investments from EFTA countries to the Kazakh market.
"Free trade zone between our countries will strengthen the competitive advantages of Kazakhstan and other parties to the agreement, and will deepen the cooperation between domestic and European entrepreneurs in areas such as pharmaceuticals, industrial engineering, processing industry. In addition, the agreement will facilitate technology transfer," Acting Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan Zhanar Aitzhanova said.
