Sec of State visits North Kazakhstan region

PETROPAVLOVSK. February 19. KAZINFORM /Sergey Kuznetsov/ Making a working trip to North Kazakhstan oblast Kazakh Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev has visited ?ZIKSTO? plant and shops in Petropavlovsk. He was interested in the cost situation at the food market of the region; Kazinform reports.
In ?ZIKSTO? the Secretary of State accompanied by regional governor Serik Bilyalov visited a wagon assembly shop. Production of high sided wagons has been launched there for the first time in Kazakhstan in autumn 2008. As General Director of the plant Vladimir Korovin informed, the first high sided wagon was tested and certified in Moscow last year. The country?s demand for such production is very high. At the end of 2008 the plant produced 30 high sided wagons. Customer is ?TransCom? JSC. This year it is planned to secure an order on production of 200 wagons.
Within the discussion Kanat Saudabayev noted that today it is very important to develop own industrial production within the program of import substitution.
Then the Secretary of State visited the municipal market ?Kyzylzhar-Akbastau?, where he got acquainted with the assortment and prices for main food products. He was informed of management of the enterprise, system of commodity supply and formation of prices. A direct supply of beef and dairy and horticultural production from local producers and suppliers from south regions of Kazakhstan is organized in this market. It helps keep prices down.
Then K.Saudabayev visited the social shop ?Shapagat?. This year eight analogous mini-shops were opened in the region. Within the discussion with buyers pensioners expressed satisfaction with prices and thanked for care of veterans and the state policy on keeping prices for food products down.
Tomorrow the Secretary of State will visit a number of other enterprises of the region and hold a briefing.
