SCO Media forum kicks off in Issyk-Kul
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Member States Media Forum is taking place in Issyk-Kul, Kabar reported.
About 100 representatives from six SCO member states, including representatives of the Kyrgyz media, are participating in the forum.
Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers Ulan Mamatkanov and Deputy Secretary-General of the SCO Oleg Kopylov opened the forum and delievered welcoming speeches.
In their speeches, they noted the need to develop media cooperation within the SCO in the context of globalization.
Furthermore, the heads of delegations of the SCO member states emphasized the importance of developing information cooperation and expanding professional interaction between countries.
The goal of the event is to strengthen cooperation in the media sphere between SCO countries, develop partnerships in the field of information and communications, and foster a unified professional dialogue in the context of digital transformation.
