SCO Gen Sec makes announcement on Urumchi events

BEIJING. July 13. KAZINFORM /Talgat Baimukhambetov/ - Saturday evening Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Bolat Nurgaliyev made an announcement in connection with the events in Urumchi or the SUAR, and on behalf of the SCO Secretariat condoled with the families of the killed and injured victims.
The Secretary General emphasized that the SCO member countries view the SUAR as an inseparable part of the People's Republic of China and believe that the events taking place there is purely the internal affair of the Chinese Republic. He expressed hope that the actions taken by Chinese authorities will pacify the situation in Xinjuang .
