SCO anti-terrorist "Peace Mission-2012" exercises to take place Jun 8-14

BEIJING. June 3. KAZINFORM SCO anti-terrorist "Peace Mission-2012" exercises will take place in Tajikistan on June 8-14, Defense Ministry spokesman Yang Yuytszyun announced May 31 in Beijing.
According to him, the joint maneuvers will involve more than 2,000 soldiers from member states of the organisation. The exercises are designed to allow the troops to work out the possibility of joint response to terrorist threat in a mountainous region, the Kazakh MFA's press service said.
