Savings from reduction of excessive losses of natural monopolies made KZT 1.5 bln

ASTANA. February 1. KAZINFORM Reduction of excessive losses of the natural monopoly agencies allowed to save about 1.5 billion tenge in 2012, Chairman of the Agency for Regulation of Natural Monopolies Murat Ospanov said at the enlarged session of the board of the Agency attended by Deputy Prime Minister Kairat Kelimbetov.
"The excessive losses are planned to be eliminated till the end of this year," the Chairman of the Agency said.
"We carry out activities on conservation of resources providing for optimization of the rates of use of raw materials, fuel and energy and reduction of administrative expenses. In the reporting period, we received 610 applications. The rates of use were reduced on 192 natural monopoly entities to the amount of 1.8 billion tenge," M.Ospanov said.
