Saudi Aramco President interested in coop with Kazakhstani companies

ASTANA. March 19. KAZINFORM Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia Kairat Lama Sharif met with President of Saudi Aramco state-run national corporation Khalid A. Al-Falih.
As the press service of the Kazakh MFA informed, the head of the Saudi Company expressed interest in development of cooperation with Kazakhstani companies headed by SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund.
The parties exchanged views on ways of establishing partnership relations between both states? oil companies. In particular, the President of Saudi Aramco acquainted with Kazakhstan?s plans on construction of a large bitumen plant and modernization of three oil refineries. In this regard K. Lama Sharif invited Khalid A. Al-Falih to visit Kazakhstan to become familiar with the development of the country?s oil industry and determine future prospects of bilateral cooperation.
In turn, the Head of Saudi Aramco stressed the importance of bilateral interaction in different directions including participation of Kazakhstani companies in implementation of Saudi investment projects in the Kingdom. The parties agreed to hold an expert meeting for consideration of possible ways of cooperation between Saudi Aramco and SamrukKazyna in the short - term outlook.
