Spokesperson for the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) Tariq Abaalkhail said that SGS documented a new geological tourist destination in the volcanic field of Harrat Khaybar, in the northeastern part of Madinah, Saudi Press Agency reported.

A specialized geological team from SGS has documented the Kingdom's longest basalt cave, with a length of around five kilometers, which will be nominated as a tourist destination after technical studies are completed. The cave was named Abu Al-Wool after the large number of ibex skeletons found in it, he said.
Abaalkhail said this cave is a "tourist wealth" that will also provide wider scopes for researchers and academics in this field.
