Saudi Arabia interested in solution of Kazakh farm produce shipment issues

"Kazakhstan is ready for cooperation and pursues an open policy in attracting foreign investments. To date the country's transport industry offers favorable conditions for foreign companies, including under the public-private partnership," Kamaliyev said. He invited the Saudi party to participate in implementation of a number of concession infrastructure projects of Kazakhstan. Besides, the Minister highlighted that one of the key issues is an opening of a direct flight between Kazakhstan and the Kingdom.

The Saudi Minister, in his turn, emphasized that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is ready to examine thoroughly the direct flight issue. It is crucial for Saudi Arabia to fulfill the King's "Food Security Program". Therefore, the state is concerned in solving the issue concerning grain and other farm products import from Kazakhstan on mutually beneficial conditions.

As Kamaliyev stated, Kazakhstan completes this year construction of a new railway line "Uzen - state border with Turkmenistan" which will let reduce transportation distance from Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia. This meeting would promote further trade and economic ties between the two states.
